The World Wide Web is truly a magical invention. It contains so much information on all types of topics. It is a perfect place for information gathering and educating.

As an engineering and web advocate, I have always held a belief that the web contains pretty much everything you have ever wanted to know. Yes "if you want to know something, someone has probably already written about it for you".

So if you have ever wanted to write an article or write an ebook, then you may be a bit discouraged asking yourself, why should I?
  • Someone has already written about that!
  • What can I offer?
  • I am no expert on this subject.
  • I don't want to look like a fool!
  • I can't write so I'll leave it to someone else to write it!
To you I will say this. You CAN write an ebook. You CAN write an article. You MUST write.
OK, maybe someone has already written about the subject you have in mind, but YOU haven't. You can offer YOUR own experiences, using YOUR own words.

Experts may not always be a good reference. People want to hear from someone who has used the product, not necessarily the person that designed it, built it and sold it. People want to download information such as articles and ebooks on their area of interest.

There is an old adage about classroom teaching. "the only silly question is the question not asked".

This may also apply to writing. ie: the only foolish person, is the person that doesn't write the article.

You CAN write. If you have troubles, record a conversation with yourself and then transcribe it to paper.

People are reading information about the same subject as yours. They are gathering information and researching the topic, searching the web and downloading ebooks and articles so that they can make informed decisions.

People not only read articles to further educated themselves but they also read articles about other people in the same predicament as themselves.
They want to know "have you got the same problem as me?", "what did you do about it?", "who did you see about it?", "how did you fix it?", "did it work out for you?".

They need to gather ALL the information before they are satisfied they are doing the right thing.
However, they don't have ALL this information yet because they haven't heard from YOU. They are waiting for you to show they what YOU know before making a decision.

So go write an ebook or article. People are waiting to hear from you. They need you. Write them an article or ebook that they can download and read.
So go write already.
